Art deco chandelier by Degué (Cristalleries
de Compiègne), France around 1930.
Wonderful chandelier with original hand wrought iron nickel-plated
mounting.
The glass and the metal parts are straight geometric art deco
style. The three plaques are signed in the glass “Degué“,
the tulips have no marks at all but the design is a well-known
one from Degué that we have had other times with signature.
The glass is frosted very dense and fine by acid.
This is a very elegant chandelier representing one of the less
often seen designs by Degué.
The company was founded in 1926 by David Guéron as Cristalleries
de Compiègne, Oise, France. He hired experienced workers
from Charles Schneider. In 1928 a department for art glass was
founded under the name Verrerie d'Art Degué in Paris. Edouard
Cazaux (sculptor and ceramist, 1889-1974) was from the beginning
on until the end of the company in 1939 the chief designer. Degué
produced art glass in the style of Daum, Schneider and Lalique.
Condition:
Very Good and it has been rewired for Continental Europe Standards.

Maravillosa lámpara con su montura original de hierro forjado
a mano niquelado.
Las tulipas y la montura tienen un claro estilo geométrico
Art Deco. Las tres placas están firmadas “Degué”
en el cristal, las tulipas no tiene marcas pero el diseño
es uno bien conocido de Degué que hemos tenido en otras
ocasiones con firma.
El vidrio esta esmerilado muy densa y finamente al ácido.
Esta es una lámpara muy elegante presentando uno de los
diseños menos vistos de Degué.
La compañía fue fundada en 1926 por David Guéron

un departamento de vidrio artístico con el nombre de Verrerie

Condición;
Muy buena y ha sido re-cableada de acuerdo a los requerimientos
de la Europa Continental.
